More on this later. And there will eventually be a better website for this.
But, for now, here’s thermoCLine… a hot command line for OS X. It’s quick, its lightweight, it can navigate your Mac faster than anything else…
What can it do?
-google
-access the web’s command line “YubNub”
-create To Do items in iCal
-write and send emails
-add notes to your favorite Note taking apps
-start text files in your favorite text editor
-run shell scripts, send commands to Terminal.app
-move and copy files around your Mac
-and open files and folders very easy, very quickly.
-and more…
Here’s a link to a YouTube video of (an early version) it in action: http://tr.im/D7g9
And its free. It’s also a beta. It’s lightweight and shouldn’t affect other applications or your system much, but you might hit some snags and I’d appreciate any bug reporting done here. or to elasticthreads AT gmail dot c o m
The application requires Snow Leopard. If you’re not on Snow, you can still use the Quicksilver action. You can install one or both (or none).
